Cameron Newland (2015) received the VEOP Achiever Award. The VEOP Achiever Award is given to an educational opportunity program participant who has successfully completed postsecondary study and received recognition for academic achievement, is a person of high stature within his or her profession, and has made significant civic, community, or professional contributions.
UB alumni Lauren Holt, Becky Doucet, Alyssa Leonard, Maranda Ruggles (2017), Daniel Cliche (2016), Noah Wilson, Cece Jones, and Katelyn Brown (2019) serve as Tutor Counselors for the summer program 2020.
UB alumni Kaytlyn Oliver and Mickayla Royer (2012) represent New England TRIO programs at the National Policy Seminar
Olivia Brimmer (2020) was recently reccomended for the Peer Leader program at New Engand Collge and has advanced to the second round!
Amber Wolf (2013) was recently awarded the New England Educational Opportunity Association (NEOA) Rising Star Award for her academic achievements to date, and participation in the TRIO Upward Bound program. The NEOA Rising Star Award honors emerging leaders who strive toward the highest levels of personal and professional accomplishment, who excel in their chosen field, devote time and energy to their community in a meaningful way, and serve as a role model for other low income, first generation, and college bound students and students with disabilities.
Chelsea Tillinghast (2013) has been selected to attend the National Policy Seminar in D.C. this coming March!
